A Complete Review of Scourge (artifacts)

140. Ark of Blight 2 uncommon
Artifact
3, Tap, Sacrifice Ark of Blight: Destroy target land.

==> FUN: 3
I'm not sure what to think of Ark of Blight yet. On one hand, it's just a more elaborate Stone Rain, while all colors (with the exception of blue) have better land destruction cards available. On the other hand, artifacts are easier to reuse than sorceries. I'm definitely trying it out in my tinker deck in case I come up against some annoying non-basic land. With Soldevi Digger, it'll even be reusable.

141. Proteus Machine 3 uncommon
Artifact Creature 2/2
Morph 0
When Proteus Machine is turned face up, its type becomes the creature type of your choice (this effect doesn't end at end of turn).

==> FUN: 3
I like it, but Proteus Machine is strictly a bluff card. Make your opponent sweat by playing it morphed and regularly checking what it was, counting your mana and asking your opponent's life total. Fun! Normally, you would never want to morph it, but if you have a creature that triggers on morphing in play or if your opponent plays something creature-type specific that you can benefit from as well, the option is always there. Of course, except for the creature type setting, you can do all of that with any morphed creature, it just won't be as much fun when you finally turn the card face up.

142. Stabilizer 2 rare
Artifact
Players can't cycle cards.
"Hold that thought." - Pemmin, Riptide survivor.

==> FUN: 1
A rare hoser. Feh.

Onslaught

Onslaught continues the story of Kamahl, who struggles to cope with what it means to be a druid. At the same time, he has to help his sister, Jeska, who has been transformed into Phage, a being that can kill with a mere touch. At the same time Ixidor, an illusionist with the ability to shape reality is out to kill Phage for killing his one true love. Who will find her first?
