Planeshift - a Complete Review (artifact)

131. Draco 16 Artifact Creature - Dragon 9/9 Draco costs 2 less to play for each basic land type among lands you control. Flying. At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice Draco unless you pay 10. This cost is reduced by 2 for each basic land type among lands you control.

==> TOUR: 2 - FUN: 4
It's even more expensive than Big Furry Monster. If it weren't for that little upkeep, it'd be a good candidate for a Tinker or reanimator deck. It'll still work with Sneak Attack, Cauldron Dance or even Pyromancy or Infernal Genesis. It's a bit vulnerable for serious play, with Disenchants, Uktabi Orangutans and Artifact Mutation. Especially Artifact Mutation would be a huge problem.

---
132. Mana Cylix 1 Artifact 1, T: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool.

==> TOUR: 1 - FUN: 2
It'll help out with color problems, but otherwise doesn't do anything.

---
133. Skyship Weatherlight 4 Legendary Artifact When Skyship Weatherlight comes into play, search your library for any number of artifact and/or creature cards and remove them from the game. Then shuffle your library. 4, T: Choose a card at random that was removed from the game with Skyship Weatherlight. Put that card into your hand.

==> TOUR: 3 - FUN: 4
It's hard to say how useful Skyship Weatherlight is without playing with it for a while, but it's not going to be easy to play with. If you remove only a few cards from the game, you're likely to run out after a while, yet if you remove a lot of them, you run the risk of diluting your deck, so you'll end up drawing too many lands. It also increases the risk of getting a lot of good cards removed from the game permanently if Skyship Weatherlight is disenchanted.

---
134. Star Compass 2 Artifact Star Compass comes into play tapped. T: Add to your mana pool one mana of any color a basic land you control could produce.

==> TOUR: 2 - FUN: 3
The risk of getting stuck with no basic lands in play, because of Armageddon, land destruction or sheer bad luck isn't worth the small advantage this has over the Mirage diamonds, I think. It can act as a Reflecting Pool in a Harrow-based five color green deck, but green already has Quirion Elves and Birds of Paradise.

---
135. Stratadon 10 Artifact Creature 5/5 Stratadon costs 1 less to play for each basic land type among lands you control.

==> TOUR: 3 - FUN: 3
At best, it's a 5/5 for 5 mana. That's not too bad, but nothing special either.
