The Wheel, Timetwister and Ancestral Recall also serve in keeping your hand full so you can drop Kobolds and pumpers. The Zuran Orb is used to sack land to draw 2 cards (through the Necropotence). The deck aims at getting a turn 5 kill. Not the best, but respectable. If the Kobolds get murdered by a Pyroclasm (or whatever), no problem, we got lots more! Never add in Kobold Drill Sergeants or Kobold Overlords - they slow down the deck. The Chain Lightnings might be better replaced with Incinerate because Incinerate is an Instant and you get the cards from Necropotence during your discard phase, when you can't cast a Chain Lightning. The Mox Sapphire can be replaced with a Lava Tubes, because the deck seems to produce too much blue once in a while. Other good card ideas include: Demonic Tutor (for the Mirror Universe), Counterspell, Transmute Artifact (can turn a Mox into a Universe), Fork (for the Walk or anything else), Ghostly Flame (if you're worried about Circles of Protection) and Ivory Tower (this deck is frequently at 7 cards). |
