A Complete Review of Judgment (land)

141. Krosan Verge U, Land
~this~ comes into play tapped.
T: Add one colorless mana to your mana pool.
2, T, Sacrifice ~this~: Search your library for a forest card and a plains card and put them into play tapped. Then shuffle your library.

==> FUN: 4
Krosan Verge doesn't just thin out your deck, it gives you card advantage as well! What more do you want? Ok, you likely won't get much use out of it before turn four at the earliest, but I'd play Krosan Verge just for the extra lands to sacrifice to Sylvan Safekeeper. Thankfully it's only an uncommon, so getting four won't be too hard.

142. Nantuko Monastery U, Land
T: Add one colorless mana to your mana pool.
Threshold - GW: ~this~ becomes a 4/4 green and white creature with first strike until end of turn. It's still a land.

==> FUN: 5
Nantuko Monastery is a buffed up version of Treetop Village, except it only works when you have threshold. That stops it from being as good as Treetop Village. It has a lot going for it, though. Treetop Village comes into play tapped, which can be incredibly annoying if you are waiting for one more mana to be able to cast something big. The first strike is also a lot more useful than trample on a small creature. A 4/4 with first strike is very hard to effectively block. You can't just put a 4/4 in front of it and have them trade. I don't think Nantuko Monastery will end up fitting into a lot of decks, but Judgment is begging for a green/white lifegain deck where this would fit in perfectly as a finisher.

143. Riftstone Portal U, Land
T: Add one colorless mana to your mana pool.
If this is in your graveyard, all lands you control gain "T: Add G or W to your mana pool."

==> FUN: 3
This is a hard one to evaluate. Riftstone Portal has a very exciting feel to it, because it's a land with a similar effect as the Incarnations. The effect seems a bit superfluous, though. If you need something like Riftstone Portal to get the mana you need from your lands, you should have picked better lands to begin with. The only use for this type of effect I could see is for spells that require a lot of one color of mana, like Drain Life. Sadly, Drain Life is also one of the few good examples of this kind of spell and I don't think there are any green or white ones. Sure, there's Rushwood Elemental for GGGGG and Transcendence for 3WWW, but when are you going to play those in the same deck? Maybe I'm overlooking some card, but Riftstone Portal looks like a good concept but a lousy execution.

At the same time, he has to help his sister, Jeska, who has been transformed into Phage, a being that can kill with a mere touch. At the same time Ixidor, an illusionist with the ability to shape reality is out to kill Phage for killing his one true love. Who will find her first?
